Wakefield Baptist Church

The team is making final preparations to go! Supplies are needed for the mission: small, medium, and youth large men's dress shirts (new or gently used), paint brushes, paint rollers, drop cloths. children's craft supplies, salvation bracelet crafts. Please drop donations off in the trunks in the church hallway. The mission team will be visiting a family in Jaipur and then traveling south to visit an orphanage near Bangalore. In Jaipur they will shadow the family and do some maintenance work. At the orphanage, they will help out in the school and do some teaching with the orphan children.

Josh Branum will be leading this trip which will be a combination of an adult and youth mission trip. We will be working with American and native missionaries to plant a church near Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The pastors already have a small core group of believers meeting in the area, but need assistance in evangelism, outreach and discipleship. We will help them accomplish this through door-to-door evangelism, Vacation Bible Schools, Jesus Film showings, and discipleship opportunities. Estimated cost for this trip is $1,650 for individuals (includes passport and visa fees, food, lodging, travel and int'l. medical insurance, airfare, etc.) This is an excellent trip for parents and their youth, though others are more than welcome. No knowledge of Spanish is required.

We will continue to work with Macedonia Ministries to spread the Gospel and plant churches. The exact details of the trip will depend upon the needs of this ministry; however, expect highly evangelistic programs such as door-to-door evangelism, Vacation Bible Schools, AIDS Ministry, and other opportunities. The estimated cost for this trip is $2,700; however, this will vary depending on the final airfare costs which are a majority of the price. This trip will be more strenuous and physically demanding. You will be on your feet a lot and will need to be capable of doing large amounts of walking. The accommodations will most likely be a camp-like setting. You will need to be 18 or older, though rare exceptions are possible. The team leader for this trip is Phillip Bunton.

If you desire to participate in one of our mission trips for 2009 - 2010 you must complete a Mission Application Form. Registration for a trip requires a deposit which must accompany the Mission Application Form. You do not have to be a member of Wakefield Baptist Church to apply for a trip. However, there are certain criteria for each trip.
