History
Wakefield Baptist Church was planted by Bay Leaf Baptist Church in 2001. The first service was held at Wakefield High School on May 6, 2001. In 2003, Wakefield Baptist Church moved to an office park on Capcom Drive, located behind Wake Forest Eye Care. This location provided the church with a rented facility that could be used seven days a week. The church continued to grow over the next several years as plans were made to construct a building that would serve as a permanent location. In December 2007, the church moved to its current location and held the first service in the new building on January 6, 2008. Since that time, the church has experienced significant growth. A large amount of new people have joined the church and many people have become disciples of Jesus as a result of the ministry of Wakefield Baptist Church.
